Hardy Belch And Tiny Return

_ Each story tries to emphasize positive characteristics such
as altruism, loyalty or companionship.
Tiny's origins are featured in this edition.
Hardy Belch, a normal 12 year old boy, and Tiny, his 240 pound telepathic dog, return in their second book. Hardy and Tiny (his best friend) find themselves facing a paleontologist’s dream, a disappearing train and the Doan Brothers, a Bucks County gang of notorious outlaws, in this book. The secret of how Tiny got his telepathic ability is also revealed. Hardy and Tiny have a rollicking good time while helping others. Combining mystery and humor each story is written to entertain, and highlight the value of friendship, planning and selfless actions.
History is addressed with a fictionalized account of the notorious Doan Brothers, a gang of scalawags who plagued Bucks County Pennsylvania during the American Revolution.
A mysterious, missing gold train provides the treasure hunt in an additional story.
Hardy and Tiny discover a living, breathing fossil in Hardy's ancestral home.
The book provides entertaining and entrancing reading.
Hardy Belch and Tiny Return can be ordered at Amazon or your local book store or at my CreateSpace Store.

Reviews of Hardy Belch And Tiny Return
Full of Boy Appeal by PV Lundqvist 5 Stars
This is the sequel to The Adventures of Hardy Belch. Yet, like the Hardy Boys mysteries it reminds me of, I don't believe reading out of order will be a problem.
The set up: Twelve-year-old Hardy Belch has a dog. But not just *any* dog. His pet is telepathic and some of the funniest bits are the talk-thoughts that go between owner and canine as they solve mysteries.
The book is divided into short vignettes that would be easy for a reluctant reader to get into. The illustrations are excellent and really work with the story.
The chapters breeze by, and, not wanting to spoil, but...there will be a dinosaur. (he's on the cover, duh). And buried treasure. And more treasure. This book is full of boy appeal.
Perfect Page Turner 5 Stars Review by Annie Frame.
Hardy Belch and Tiny Return is a brilliant read for the younger reader. It reminded me of Enid Blyton and the famous five in the way the imagination was captured with eager page turning. William G Bentrim effortlessly introduces each character, making you feel comfortably connected. Loved the way the animals were given huge personalities from the beginning. Not only is the book filled with exiting storylines, it also owns pictures and maps! Lots of food for thought for youngsters in a mad modern world which only added stars to my review.
This is a book for the young readers book shelf, without a doubt. It is a book that will most certainly have dog eared pages!

Hardy and Tiny are Back with Gusto!, April 20, 2011 By Barbara J. Smith "Barbara"
This review is from: Hardy Belch And Tiny Return: A Boy, A 240 Pound Dog And Tons of Fun (Volume 2) (Paperback)
"Hardy Belch and Tiny Return," by William G. Bentrim is filled with real-life stories and situations and not-so-real life hysterics. This book is divided into four separate stories, each based on something Hardy Belch has read about or learned in school. Then a mystery presents itself and he and his 240-pound telepathic dog, Tiny, set out to solve it. With the knowledge he already has he and Tiny are able to solve each mystery. But the most fun in this book is the conversations between Hardy and Tiny. Yes, Tiny can converse - in Hardy's mind, of course.
Children and young adolescents will love the mystery and humor in each of these stories. And they will learn something as they read through this book. If you have a good sense of humor, you won't be able to help yourself - you'll just laugh out loud reading Bentrim's "Hardy Belch and Tiny Return."
4.0 out of 5 stars Four in One for Kids, April 18, 2011 By Greg Smith "Thomas & Mercer Author"
This review is from: Hardy Belch And Tiny Return: A Boy, A 240 Pound Dog And Tons of Fun (Volume 2) (Paperback)
Bill Bentrim's newest book, Hardy Belch and Tiny Return, rejoins the young boy with the unusual name and his enormous telepathic dog Tiny as they face challenges and try to help friends.
The book is comprised of four self contained tales. The first explores Tiny's origins and recalls his heroic guard dog Mother's work in a nuclear power plant. The second takes a fanciful trip through time to encounter a lonely Triceratops. The third and fourth stories weave local historical figures into a pair of treasure hunting adventures.
