_Sunshine on My Day
No matter how good your life is, there are days that seem dreary, events that aren’t as expected, responsibilities that chafe, companions that just aren’t there, a smidgen of ill health, or bad back or sciatica, all these may impact a life that is superb and recognized as superb even when perfection is less than perfect.
What light shines through these veils of minor misery?
What brightness strikes the heart and penetrates the miasma?
Something as simple as a smile seen through the marvels of screen savers and digital picture frames.
The sheer ecstasy of delighting in progeny unto multiple generations keeps despair and depression frustrated and annoyed that their power is stymied by the simple smile of a son reveling in his children or the delight of a grandchild being loved and loving unconditionally in return, keeps sanity intact and the heart strong regardless of whatever setbacks may occur throughout the day.
Those scenes, those smiles, my family puts the sunshine in my day!
